Precinct design:
- Development of a public market at the corner of Luipaard and
Market street
- Taking advantage of the public transport route intersection.
- Development of a park
- Improvement of street Furniture
The Money corner is envisioned to be a robust corner of different activities and land uses, the buildings at the intersection are multi purpose mixed- use buildings. The ground floor is mainly salons, shops, coffee and internet café.
Within the mixed use buildings’ plots there are small green spaces
that add variety to the concrete terrain of the site and also improve the aesthetics of the site. Streets are fashioned by patterns of trees on each side linking the public park to the sports field at the north of the site.
Between the public park and the market there will be a vibrant network of public transport mainly taxis and a stop. This transport system is aimed to work well with the market, where people would buy their goods and catch a taxi without having to travel any distance.
