Main Idea of UDF: Tswelopele; Africa Unite

Our framework is divided into four parts: Lekgotla, which will consist of public services such as community centre, home affairs and police station; Fleurhof which is a residential area inspired by the Fleurhof flats in Fleurhof Dale; Oduro si ibikan which will be the name of the new multifunctional park that will serve as a resting place for shoppers and an outdoor area to relax and host events by the residents of the area and lastly, Panusika is the proposed modernised African open market.
The idea is to have more public spaces to promote interactions with different people, request for the blending of cultures through having neighbours of a different nationality and embrace Africanism
Panusika Precinct is a commercial precinct that promotes embracing different cultures using the exchange of goods and services as the base of interactions that will lead to exchange of language, practices and neighborly love between the immigrants and the locals. This space is dedicated to the unemployed of both groups to benefit from the economic activity that the shopping Centre generates and create an income for themselves.
To embrace the African open market culture while avoiding lost space, the use of suspended apartments plays an important role is it provides shelter for the open market during the day and shelter for the sellers at night to reduce their travel costs and the eliminate the difficulty of having to carry stock a long way home
